Hello, my name is Mary. When I first started Prim Barn in 2003, I began with only a small offering of primitive decorating items in inventory at our local Farmers Market. I wanted to add candles just for decorating/display, but at the time I didn't have much money to invest in big name companies. Besides, I was pretty frustrated with a huge black stain on my bathroom wall and candles I had paid $20 for that burned right down the center. Ever hear of the saying "If you want something done right, you'd better do it yourself?" That's what I set out to do. I had heard of soy, so I researched it, ordered supplies and the rest is history...

I've always maintained a high priority on testing, testing, and more testing. I stand behind every single candle to have a super strong scent throw and to burn correctly (all the way across and down). I currently use about 10 different supply companies, just because different companies have different oils. Company A's blueberry is not the same as Company B's. I'll test all the different "blueberry's" then only the one with the best scent throw and the highest quality makes it into Prim Barn Candles.
